Bulk Underlayment Epoxy (posted 5/16/11)
For repairing chipped damaged concrete floors, potholes,
or airport runway repairs, the common fix is epoxy mixed with sand, lots of sand. This makes sort of an epoxy cement
that bonds extremely well to cement surfaces and produces a ‘rock hard' repair. The addition of the sand almost
doubles the original volume of the epoxy (which equals almost half-ing the price of the epoxy). It is the sand
that does the real work. The actual epoxy is less important, it just holds the sand mixture all together.
We sell an product called Epoxy Mortar Kit which is $78 for 1.5 gal of epoxy without sand. With sand it mixes up
to about 2.5 gallons. It has a nice track record on runways and factory/warehouse floors. It is ideal for leveling
floors, but still expensive for large areas (1 gal equals 231 cubic inches, 1 gal of anything will cover 6.2 square
feet at 1/4 inch thick).
Our turnkey factory supplier makes a lot of different epoxies and had odd bits of extra resins and orders sitting
around. Using a bit of chemistry and math they can combine the left over inventories and get a product that will
set up and harden. This new product, generically called, "Underlayment Epoxy" is low priced and intended
to be mixed with sand for leveling floors at a reasonable price. No telling what color the epoxy will be.
So, Underlayment Epoxy is available by special order direct from the factory. It has a 2:1 mix ratio and is packaged
in 5 gallon pails. Minium purchase volume is 15 gallons. Again, the addition of sand will make about 25 gallons....
Price is $37 per gallon plus shipping. Call to order - 603-435-7199.
Wet Dry 700 (tm) Variant
(posted 5/16/11)
Our kevlar (tm), feldspar reinforced underwater epoxy paste is one
of our primary products. Used a lot for fixing leaking boats, leaking swimming pools and as the ultimate epoxy
putty it is a popular seller (data and MSDS at www.epoxyproducts.com/datamsds.html). Note this product can only
be sent to customers in the lower 48 states.
We had a special order modified version of the Wet Dry made for a customer. Some extra inventory of this product
is still stock and we are looking to sell it at a discounted price while supplies last. This product is black in
color (regular Wet Dry is off white), has a slight sulfur odor (due to one of the curing agents used), sets up
slightly quicker than the wet dry 700, and doesn't cure quick as rock hard as the Wet Dry. Like the Wet Dry, it
works underwater, and still is limited to sales in the Lower 48 states. For many users of Wet Dry 700 this product
offers for a limited time a cheaper version of the same product for their application.
Available in 1 gallon units (½ gal of part A and ½ gal of part B) just like the Wet Dry 700, but
at a reduced price. While regular Wet Dry 700 sells for $98 per gallon, the Wet Dry Variant sells for $86 per gallon
while supplies last. Call to order - 603-435-7199.
