WATER GARD 300 EPOXY PAINT
- a solvent free, high end, epoxy paint that can be applied underwaterA solvent free, non-hazmat (can be air shipped anywhere without restriction) epoxy adduct. Used for tanks, pits, secondary containment, pipelines, etc. Coverage is approx. 130 squ. feet per gallon. Std color: white and light blue (yellows much less than other white epoxies). Our leading barrier coat epoxy competitor requires application of five coats of their solvent based epoxy just to reach a minimum mil thickness. Five coats - that is outrageous! That's a lot of product and time wasted. (solvent free Water Gard 300 is a one coat epoxy paint). Requiring five coats also tells you: 1) It is obviously not an epoxy designed as a Barrier Coat but rather an obsolete industrial epoxy 're-positioned for 'more life' as a marine barrier coat epoxy; 2) google Epoxy Paints and you'll find that almost all of them are now solvent free (note that our CM 15 summer time barrier coat epoxy does contain solvents). Usually solvents in epoxy paints is another indicator of an old, outdated, product being retired to the less informed "boat owner" market.
